RE: Ext Busy

What alarms do you get? What does SUSIP show for a fauty extension? Have you tried de-blocking the extension instead of deleting and re-initiating? Give us something to work with please.

RE: Ext Busy

(OP)
thanks himdp for reply,

i didn't try to de-blocking because i don't know how to do that.

Can you please explain to me. My knowledge not much Please guideline to give the information that you want to resolve this issue for meز

RE: Ext Busy

Print blocked analogue extension devices with-
BLFDP:TYPE=EL;

You can deblock any extensions showing with-
BLDBE:EQU-xx-xx-xx-xx,ALLFM=Y;

If all extensions on a board are out of service, you can try restarting the board with-
RFBOI:BPOS=xx-xx-xx;

You can deblock a board with-
BLDBE:BPOS=xx-xx-xx, ALLFM=Y;

In all cases above replace xx with the relevant digits.

how to make this ext running again?

RE: Ext Busy

(OP)

I have tried to de-block one ext as following:
<BLDBE:EQU=001-2-40-17,ALLFM=Y;
NOT ACCEPTED
MISSING PARAMETER
BPOS

RE: Ext Busy

BLEQE not BLDBE,

best parnum

RE: Ext Busy

(OP)

< BLEQE=EQU=001-2-40-17,ALLFM=Y;
SYNTAX ERROR

RE: Ext Busy

(OP)
Its executed BLEQE:EQU=001-2-40-17,ALLFM=Y;

but how to de-block all ext one time .

RE: Ext Busy

Appologies for the typo in my first post-
BLEQE will deblock per extension (EQuipment position)
BLDBE will deblock all extensions on a board (Device Board)

Try
BLDBE:BPOS=1-3-50,ALLFM=Y;
If that works for your power out case then you could make a command file to deblock all the boards.

RE: Ext Busy

(OP)
Thanks everyone
BLEQE this working for me but one by one

How to get BPOS equation for the ext above?

Also i am sure i did do-block for all ext , but when ran "BLFDP:TYPE=EL;" there is 2 ext blocked.

Thanks

RE: Ext Busy

(OP)

BPOS means Lim no-Magazine no-board is this correct? if so

how to print this information?

RE: Ext Busy

(OP)

Do not imagine how these commands helped me to solve the problem within minutes after it had been take a long time.

hence i would like to thank you both "himdp&parnum "

Thanks a lot

RE: Ext Busy

Activenew, you are correct with BPOS so from your BLFDP you can identify the boards to be deblocked and use that instead of individual EQU.

It would of course be best to identify the issue which causes the blocking after a power cut.
Some blocking bits are reload data so that if a DUSYI is performed with boards blocked, even if they are subsequently deblocked a data reload will restore the blocking. However in your case the blocking bit pattern is unusual. Do you have any special patches in ELP6 or DCP?

RE: Ext Busy

This is not my job. The technical person has resigned. Now I manage the system until they are hiring someone else and my knowledge is not enough. So I want your help to find real reason caused this problem. Without your help i cant do this.

Thanks again

RE: Ext Busy

NOTE: After a power failure the time on the system is incorrect.

RE: Ext Busy

think each configuration gone after power shutdown.

The system does not save the configuration.

As noted today new something when call internally from Ext to another Ext If do not respond, it continues ringing non-stop. Sometimes the transfer me to answer machine

thanks.

RE: Ext Busy

do DUBDP; to see what your backups are. Power outage will load from the latest dated REL volume.
Do you have battery back up?

RE: Ext Busy

the battery failure that why facing this problem.

when call ext 1119 if not response its transfer call to answer machine.

RE: Ext Busy

please guide to solve this issue

RE: Ext Busy

I know from your other post that the date on REL2 was due to a mistake with the date on the system and is not really 10 years old. The system will reload from REL1 (as it is the newest) after a power outage. If REL1 does not have the configuration you require, get the sytem to a condition you are happy with i.e. with no blocked boards and with extensions with the correct category, then do a DUSYI. This will overwrite REL2 with a more recent dump.

For the near future; get a more reliable mains power source and get replacement batteries.
In my experience, repeated power cycling will shorten the life of hardware on your sytem so you might face a more serious problem in the future if you fail to address the battery issue.

RE: Ext Busy

how many time should i run Duysi to overwrite REL2?

RE: Ext Busy

Now i am running DUSYI...

RE: Ext Busy

Dusyi done , but still not overwrite

any advise please to avoid this problem please.

RE: Ext Busy

See the advice on your other thread about DUSYI

RE: Ext Busy

thanks himdp for your support.
could you also please check why ext ringing for long time without stop , and my ext1119 when not answer the call it transfer the call to answer machine.

RE: Ext Busy

It seems that ext 1119 has "diversion on no reply" active. You can check this with SUDIP:DIR=1119; then compare with an extension which is not diverting to voice mail.

One last thing, before, when call internally between the EXTs if there is no reply after 7 ringtones I hear this message (to leave a message press 1 to ended call press4..... etc.) .now do not heard anything just ringing non-stop.
