AudioCodes 440 HD IP Set Compatibility

AudioCodes 440 HD IP Set Compatibility

I am interested in purchasing this set for use as a PURE sip phone to work on a SIP server. Does anyone know if it's compatible with pure SIP or will it only work on Lync and Skype?

RE: AudioCodes 440 HD IP Set Compatibility

The Audiocodes 420/440 phones will work on a 'generic' SIP platform. I don't know about registering over the internet to a SIP phone provider, but they will work with SIP telephony platforms.

Thank you Biv, saw these sets at the service desk at a new Meijer in Michigan. They originally were using Polycom when the store opened last year, but now they updated to these sets. Before all of the Open Sourced communication, they were using Avaya.....interesting change.
