hi folks, I want to obtain small thumbnail screenshots of some of the websites i have designed - akin to that of firefox new tab controls , where they show you the most recent sites viewed.

How can I obtain such screenshots ?

RE: Mozilla Firefox Style - New Tab Controls - Thumbnail Images for 'recent websites' viewed ?

Load the website in a browser, take a screenshot usually alt + print screen keys on Windows (Mac offers other key combinations to take screenshots of selected regions). Then use image editing software to crop the screen shot to remove the browser chrome, and to reduce the image to thumbnail size.

Alternatively, there are Browser addons that will take the screenshots for you as well.

For example:

Also many image editing applications offer screen shot options that also let you select areas.

Windows Vista+ has a screenshot program called 'Snipping Tool'.

As does Windows 7

There are also several "screen capture" extensions for Firefox

for Opera

for Google Chrome

(Other browsers are available) smile
