Use calculated(formula) field.

thanks miasoft for reply. i did not explain problem well. in list formater you choose which (file) field to be filled into the column.
main file was vegetables but the parent file (relation 1:many) is basket. i could not display basket name because i was selecting "other tables" and adding basket file under those "other tables". which was wrong. when i selected "vegetables" and then pressed add/insert - all related tables appeared and everything showed up as it should. very basic and novice problem. that "other tables" label should be renamed into "non related tables" (g). thanks anyway...
