Wondering if anyone knows what PRI card would be used for an ISDN in Tokyo?

Should be able to use the standard PRI-U card, they use T1 in Japan if I remember correctly.

IP500 PRI-U Trunk Card Line Type
The IP500 PRI-U card can be configured to support either E1, T1 or E1-R2 PRI line types.

Don't forget U-law encoding

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

Thanks for the replies. Just been advised that the line being installed is a INS Net 64 light (BRI), providing 8 simultaneous calls so looks like I actually need a BRI8.

I forgot about U-LAW, so this means I need to format the SD card in U-LAW and not A-LAW then - not done a U-LAW system before.

I'm creating the config offline and have set the local to Japan (US English), now to redo the card into U-LAW.

Edit - Just recreated in U-LAW and still only have ETSI, ETSI CHI, QSIG A and QSIG B as Line Sub Type options on the PRI
- would I need a 24 channel PRI card for T1? - Just covering bases in case the BRI information is wrong.

Okay - struggling to get the PRI card to allow T1. Anyone got any pointers as the SD Card has been redone as U-LAW, locales set to US but still only get ETSI etc as options, no T1.

U-Law or A-Law is set depending on the type of SD card I believe (different part numbers):
SD Card A-LAW (700479702)
SD Card U-LAW (700479710)
A A-LAW SD card cannot be used on a U-LAW system, you get the A-LAW allowed hardware : ISDN ETSI E1 and not ISDN T1

Just to update to advise I have sorted. Even though I had recreated the SD card as U-LAW I then also had to delete the PRI card from the system config and reboot. This bought the PRI card back as a PRI 24 rather than a PRI 30 (oddly just doing a config reset by the reset button or manager didn't do it).

Now it looks just like one on a US system I looked at.

Thanks all.
