Can't instantiate a new form object?

Can't instantiate a new form object?

(OP)
Hi,

I seem unable to get a form instantiated from a sting value.

I have

CODE

internal Form Frm { get; set; }
Frm = (Form) Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly().CreateInstance(FormName);
Frm.Show();

But it just errors with

Quote:

An unhandled exception of type 'System.NullReferenceException' occurred

Inteli-sense shows that Frm = null?

The form exists in the assembly, why can't I create an instance of it?

Thanks,
1DMF

Worked it out, you have to concatenate the namespace with the type class name!

CODE

Frm = (Form) Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly().CreateInstance(Assembly.GetExecutingAssembly().GetName().Name + "." + FormName);
