Dear all, is there any way to prompt for a password to join a meet me conference without needing VM Pro (just using Essential Edition)?

Let it ring a station, lift the handset, ask for the password and when correct transfer the call to a conference.

Joking, no it is not possible without VM Pro.

Addendum, when using Embedded VM link four or more AA's were the first AA transfers the first digit of the code to a second AA which transfers the second digit to a third AA etcetere.
Put the "Please enter your access code" in the first AA with the shortcode *84xx were x is the number of the first AA, range 01 to 40.

You can use embedded AA to ask for a PIN. But you can't use it to transfer into a conference bridge. Without preferred edition license it is not possible to use the "conf meet me" short code feature.

You can do it as Intrigrant stated. You just need to create/use multiple AA to accomplish this. VMPro is meant for this so it is much easier to accomplish with it, but I have done this for clients before who have embedded and it works fine. The last AA selector code will be set to transfer the caller to your SC that sends it to the designated conference bridge.

hi telecomboy, trying to achieve what you mention about transferring a call to a SC for conf bridge on essential, but what is the SC required? I can route into an AA with key presses to several other AA as a password requirement, I've tried a conference meet me (got error on SS as its only available on preferred), I've then tried *47 as the standard conference add but no luck :( ?
