How to expand Dell PowerVault MD3220 using MD1220?

How to expand Dell PowerVault MD3220 using MD1220?

(OP)
Dear Dell Gurus,

Currently we have Dell PowerVault MD3220 with 1 Diskgroup and 3 virtual disks. Now we need to expand our storage by installing 1 MD1220. Our goal is to increase the size of the virtual disks. After connecting MD1220, we saw 12 TB unconfigured space. We tried to increase the size of one of the virtual disk but it only allow us to configure 2 physical disk and its requiring us to create an enclusure protection. Anyone who already experienced this? Are we doing it right?

Regards,

mlgmartin
