I have an image that is a map of the USA. http://www.tri-ed.com/branchmap.aspx.
I want to have expandable/collapsible text displayed below the map based on which city is clicked from the image. Ex. Seattle would display Seattle branch info....Nashville would display Nashville info..And so on. Are there any plugins out there that can capture this functionality?

RE: Plugin that Expand and Collapses text based on Image Click location

what has this got to do with wordpress? and did you not ask the identical question in the javascript forum?

@jpadie I was curious if there was any easier way to do with a plugin.

but your code is aspx. that's not wordpress.

the url I used as a sample was originally from an .net site, written in aspx code. their new site is word press and the existing functionality does not work on their servers.

RE: Plugin that Expand and Collapses text based on Image Click location

ah. I see.

yes - this whole thing could be done with a plugin, but as what you are looking for is essentially just javascript interaction with a map, it would be easier (more logical) to do in the normal template hierarchy. or to build a widget (although that would be a second tier preference).

If you were wanting the map to be ajax enabled (so it loads the branch details from your server rather than just showing information on a page), then a widget or plugin would make more sense. But if you have only (say) 100 branches, it would make more sense to keep all the information on the page, either as html or as a js object.
