Active User List doesn't drop user's

We are experiencing problems with SofTrack's monitoring system. It appears to recognize people as active users, whether they are actually using the program or not. Some are using the program, some are not, some may have been on ealier in the day, but it never released them from being active users after they closed the program. Also, there are times that some users will receive messages that they are queued for a program, even when they never requested it. Any tips on what is going on, would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I ran into a similar problem.  The resolution was easy.  The network was not releasing the user, so i simply added another simultaneous connection to each user.  When they logged-off. they could now open up another session and effectively closes all programs to which an active connection is no longer in use.
