Hi guys,

I'm doing an install where i've created the problem in that i cannot ping the UC110 behind the VLAN. I would really appreciate any thoughts you may have.

It's surely network related of my own creation- i can browse to The system is operational and voicemail works with the system as it should (except for emails out).
IP handsets with PCs piggybacked work.
lldp works.
Remote switches and IP handsets on VPN tunnel work.

The only way i can hit the UC110 at the moment is to direct connect to LAN1.
Can't hit it from the data VLAN.
Can't issue my laptop with a static IP in my voice VLAN and hit the UC module.

I've got an IP500 v2, 2x 3526t pwr switches plus remote switches, 9608 handsets

VLAN 1 (data)
3526 1 v5.02016 10.9.0.99
3526 2 v5.02016 10.9.0.98
Gateway 10.9.0.1
offset routing enabled both switches

VLAN 100 (Voice)
IP Office 8.1.63 10.9.100.250
UC110 8.1.93 10.9.100.251
Gateway 10.9.100.1
IP handsets 10.9.100.2+

IP Office
Discovery
10.9.100.250
LAN1 10.9.100.250
IP route
0.0.0.0/ 0.0.0.0/ des 10.9.100.1/ LAN1

UC110
10.9.100.251
Gateway 10.9.100.1
Mask 255.0.0.0
(tried 10.9.100.250 and subnet masks of 255.0.0.0(IP Office)- no joy

router
10.9.100.0/ 255.255.255.0/ 10.9.0.99
***(should this maybe be 10.9.100.0/ 255.255.255.0/ 10.9.100.1?)

I've tried a lot of things and don't see much relevant data in wireshark. Would be really grateful for a clue.

Kids, Kids, It's Avaya. You're both right.

When you go to ->settings, can you add a virtual interface?
If yes then do so and create the correct vlan and IPaddress for the data vlan.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Thanks for getting back Peter, I don't see how you can add a virtual...
Not on site now to look at my UC110 in question but i have a sample menu below that has the same options that i saw today.

This seems to be an old version.
I am sure i have seen this in a more current version but i am not if it was enabled or not.
This is an option on the Linux apps server for sure.

All right mate. I'll take your word for it and have a squizz in the morning. I'll let you know.
Have a great day.

You have the wrong mask you cannot use 255.0.0.0 you need 255.255.255.0

UC110
10.9.100.251
Gateway 10.9.100.1
Mask 255.0.0.0

Hi Guys,
to update.
Peter- I definitely can't see an option to create a virtual interface on the UC110.

Can't ping UC110 over VLAN. User Voicemail collect works. Any ICR to a VMPro module returns busy signal.

Any thoughts/ ideas would be much appreciated.

Here is a fresh copy of the data as of right now.

Kids, Kids, It's Avaya. You're both right.

When you go to "settings" -> "system" then you will see the option but grayed out.
This is no option on the UCM apparantly.
Can you ping the IPO from the other vlan?
If yes then you need to create an iproute on the UCM but you must do that from the CLI.
Google how to do this on Centos and you will be fine (i guess, never tried!!!)

BAZINGA!

Yes i can ping the IPO from the VLAN.

Centos- Now researching...

Thanks Peter. Will Advise.
