ASP Classic check client for Administrative Rights

ASP Classic check client for Administrative Rights

(OP)
I would like to check to see if the current user has administrative rights with ASP Classic.

Also I would like to check to see which operating system is loaded.

What are the ASP Classic functions, or code I should call to check this?

Thanks!

RE: ASP Classic check client for Administrative Rights

Unless your webserver is running on a active directory controller there aren't any, because ADSI is not installed on AD member servers.

On the client? Because again you can't, ASP runs on the server and has no access to the client OS. All you can do is to read the browser useragent string from Server.Variables and decode the OS from that.
