Child Themes

Child Themes

(OP)
Hi,

I was hoping someone could confirm my understanding of child themes.

Is all I need to do is create a sub folder 'theme name hyphen child' in wp-content -> themes.

Which is the jist of what this seems to be saying...

http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes

I have created a folder called 'twentyten-child' , placed the style.css in it and made an alteration to the title id as follows

CODE

#site-title a {
	color: #ff0000;
	font-weight: bold;
	text-decoration: underline;
}

But the main site title still shows as black and not underlined?

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks,
1DMF

RE: Child Themes

It's OK, didin't realise I had to go to network admin deactivate the parent themes and then 'network activate' the child theme!

Then use the child theme as the actual theme.

Didn't mention any of that on the child_themes URL!
