Nortel Wizards,

I have been getting trouble calls on a phantom message light. The customers go into their respective mailbox to retrieve their meesages and they find no new messages. I am at wits end trying to figure this one out. I have removed and rebuilt some of the mailboxes with the same result, this is not a daily occurance though, but does happen periodically. This is on callpilot.

Print out the phone that is having the phantom light. Are there any DNs that are single appearances on the phone(appears only on that phone. Check voice mail to see if this DN has a mailbox or is a MWDN for another mailbox. Mail lights a DN preferably on key 0. If it only appears on one phone, it will light that light.

On the affected phone/s, print TNB and look for a key designated as XMWK.

I use this a lot in my Call centers, and sometimes it is not obvious to the users why the light is on.
