Transfer 911 Calls Automatically to PRI-A

How can this be achieved when I am using 5 as a dial out code on route 001. Also I have target lines that start with a 9?

Basically I dont want to have to dial 5911 for emergency just 911.

Create destination digits 911 set absorb length to none then set the route to dial out over whatever line pool you want

What exactly does the absorb length do?

number of digits in your destination code that are sent on the PRI.

dest 911 absord none = send out 911
dest 911 absorb al1 = send out nothing

So if my destination code is 5any to reach pri-a then the absorb should be 1 to absorb the 5?

Any or 1 when its 1 digit.

Just setup Dest code 911 to Asorb ALL and to use route 001 which is already setup.

So now 5 and 911 will both use route 001, 001 uses PRI-A (presume).

So my 2 Dest Codes Would Be...

5ANY --- Absorb 1 (to absorb the 5 and keep the rest of the digits for the outgoing call)

911 --- Absorb None
