Nortel Meridian Option 11 - Need to figure out DID ranges on PRI Circuit?Helpful Member!

Hey all,

Been doing some searching can't seem to find an answer, sorry if this has been posted already on the forum here (I'm probably not using the proper terms) also forgive me I'm not really skilled on working an old-school PBX like this, I know the basics.

I have a Nortel Phone System here and I believe its an Option 11 (Maybe an Option 11c, not sure) but I need to figure out what are my DID ranges programmed into the phone system, I believe this may be circuit information tied to my PRI but unfortunately my predecessors didn't do a very good job of documenting stuff here.

Is there a way I can pull this info from the Nortel System or do I need to simply call my T1-PRI Circuit provider and request it from them?

I figured I'd asked since it's after hours and they are currently closed for the day and hoping someone here might have an answer.

Thanks in advance!

I'm actually new to PBX OP11C, but I had a similar situation recently, where we moved an old school t1 to a new PRI T1... My provider took care of it. they did it at the Central office.

The phone system does not know what numbers you have from the phone company.

Thanks everyone for the replies.

Got the info from the Provider this morning.

Figured this information had to be programmed into the PBX but I guess not.

Thanks again!

The only thing that the PABX needs for indials is the LDN (printed in LD 21). The number of digits in the LDN will tell you how many digits are recognised from the carrier. EG: if you have a 4 digit LDN, the PABX will recoginse 0000-9999. Take away any other programming in the PABX eg: single digir access codes etc.

As already said above though, its the carrier that arranges what comes in, you just recognise that.
