hi all,

I've a problem when trying to do an online backup of a Mimer DB. During the backup procedure I get the error:
"MIMER/DB internal error -16205 in function EXECUTE
Corrupt data page"

I'm using version 10.0.6D.

The online backup is:
SQL>START BACKUP;
SQL>
SQL>CREATE BACKUP IN 'logdb' FOR DATABANK logdb;
SQL>CREATE BACKUP IN 'sqldb' FOR DATABANK sqldb;
SQL>CREATE BACKUP IN 'sysdb' FOR DATABANK sysdb;
SQL>CREATE BACKUP IN 'transdb' FOR DATABANK transdb;
SQL>CREATE BACKUP IN 'dat1' FOR DATABANK dat1;
SQL>CREATE BACKUP IN 'dat2' FOR DATABANK dat2;
SQL>
SQL>COMMIT BACKUP;

Can anyone suggest a way to fix this error or create a backup without getting this error? Ideally while keeping the DB online but if needed an offline backup coul be carried out.

Hello, I've checked known issuses but did not found anything that resembles this problems.

Have you looked in the log (eventlog or mimer.log file depending on which plattform you are on)? This may yield further information.

Have you run the dbc utility for each databank included in the backup?

Thanks for the speedy reply.

I can't find any useful information about the error and how to fix the problem. Hence, the reason for posting.

The eventlog doesn't really give any more information, although it does give a pageid:
<Error> Mimer SQL kernel error -16205 in function DKBUP0 Databank OTP_SYS_DYN, corrupt data page, pageid = 953163

The dbc tool reports the same for all the dbf files, there is "* The databank is an incomplete backup" near the top and "*** ERRORS ARE LOGGED ***" at the end.

are you using the OTP software product for hospitals? Have you in that case contacted the support organisation for this product?

Yes it is. I shouldn't have put otp_sys_dyn in my previous post.

My colleague has emailed support from the vendor last Friday and has had no reply yet.

I thought it couldn't hurt to post here - see if someone from the community would have a solution.

I'm writing from Elekta's 3rd line support (Oncentra). We regret that you haven't been able to contact us through proper channels. It should not happen even during vacation periods. Please try again.
