Avaya S8300 / CM5.2.1 / g430

using BRI lines for trunking and when we receive a fax the machine answers and drops the call after 1 second - adjusted the BRI board setting for DCP/Analog Bearer Capability:3.1kHz and tried Speech as I have seen postings about this in the past but same issue.

not hearing a fax tone when it answers as we have BRI lines and fax machines in other Euro sites without an issue -

this was working prior as we converted from another PABX system to the Avaya so that other PABX system's analogue extension could support their fax device

we have reset the fax machine as well with no resolve

cheers !

You should check the following:
Do you have sync turned on on your bri board on the gateway cli. Check with show sync timing.
Do you have selected fax support on the IP codec form?
Do a change station and select XoIP options to fax on the station form.

> sync active for the BRI slot

Do a change station and select XoIP options to fax on the station form.

> was set for auto ( default value ) and updated as FAX

the odd thing is we are set the same as our other sites w/ BRI and faxing -
