Hello, I have 2 sites connected together via a H323 Line SCN. There are physical connected together via a P2P T1, and have 20 voice networking licenses between them.

Do I want to have the "Allow Direct Media Path" option turned on?? I am experience very high round-trip delay times, and I currently have this option turned off.

Thanks...

Yes our should be turned on.
when this is causing issues then you really have a network problem.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

as long as your devices are routed properly by your network (default gateway) so that there is actually a path from one device to the other you are ok using direct media path. Ping from IPO to devices on the other side adn see if it responds, yes = good to use; no = fix the network

in your IP routes is the gateway for the other side the LAN on the point to point router? You may be using some other device to route traffic to the point to point which could be causing the delay.
