Toll restriction questions

I need to set up some toll restrictions, ie 2 extensions can only dial local and toll free. So the procedure would be to set outbound calling #401 to local only, then use #407 to add 1800, 1866, 1877 and 1888 to the allowed list as I understand? For local only does the system just assume any 7 digit number is a local call or is there more? I assume 911 must be only in the emergency number list #406?

#401- 3- Local Calls only, rejects a call if 1 is the first dialed digit. #409 overrides #407, which both override #401.

Cool, thanks. I can test it on site but I like to be fully prepared. So for 407 do I leave off the 1?

You will want to have the entries just as you had them above, 1800, 1877, etc... Make sure to use the "Enter" button after each list entry and assign the list #408.

Do you have 7 digit toll dialing?

If so, you really want to use the disallow and allow lists to do the job.

In disallow list 1, entry 01, put a wild charcter.

In the allow lists, put all of the local 3 digit prefixes, and 1800, 1888, 1877, 1866.

911 should be in the emergency list.

NANPA can help you find your rate center, and all of the local prefixes, including cellular.

Thanks, Tom. Yeah I believe their area code has toll rates for the remote end to the east. I don't think there is any logic though to the exchanges. Might see if the CLEC can block toll calls with a PIN for toll access.
