Outlook VBA - Edit Recipients in Previously Sent Item

Here's specifically what I'd like to clean-up, not a big deal, but something that comes to mind every once in a while:

There have been occasions when I accidentally included myself in the recipients list when clicking "Reply to all" in the past to an email. Well, the annoying part of that is when I try to sort my Sent items by "Sent to".

So, I'm trying to sort out is there any way in VBA that I can loop through sent items, and then remove myself from the "sent to" list.

It looks to me like it's a read-only property, but wanted to see if there were some way I was unaware of.

Thanks for any thoughts or suggestions.

Steve,

Hmmmmmm, sounds like Winston's job, changing the history, don't you think?

I dunno. I know it seems silly, and in some sense it would be counter-intuitive, but in my scenario, it would be helpful - at least to me. smile

So, I'll have emails sent to:

Joe, Suzy, and Leroy

and others sent to:

Stephen, Joe, Suzy, and Leroy

Well, they're really sent to the same people. I just accidentally put myself into the recipients list some time at least oh 2 years ago. So if I removed Stephen from the second list, then those items would sort/line-up with the first list.

99% of the time it doesn't matter, of course, but every once in a while it would help.

Oh, and how I'd like to do it would be in a cooler way. Instead of changing history like Churchill, I'd rather go back to the future in a Delorean! wink

Winston Smith, Orwell's 1984, where history was changed by the edicts of the party.

Yeah, I'm trying to remember whether I actually ever read that book. I know it's come up in discussions, but cannot remember at moment if I ever read it myself. If I did, it was for a school project, and would have been in college.

I don't know how anyone could forget the part where they make him wear a rat cage around his face. And not just the cage.

Orwellian! or not!

Certainly not o're all. or not!

Then there's Will on the rowing team, "Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your oars!" or not! What a stretch!

Out of curiosity, how closely does 1984 the movie resemble the book? Not at all, somewhat, dead-on, what?

From a quick glance at imdb on the movie version, I think that if (and honestly, it's a VERY big if) I ever consume the 1984 thought, it'll be via the book as well. But I doubt I'll ever read that. Too many other things to do. I don't think I have enough of a desire to fully understand the references to go out and pick up a copy.

yea, I think I'd rather study the writings of Paul than George.

The original movie done back in the 50's or 60's more closely resembles the book IMO. You don't see it much on the idiot box anymore.

Very true. Seems things degrade further every year. Yet for some reason, I still pick up the remote. spineyes
