Hello. I have been racking my brain on this one and have not come up with a solution, so I wonder if anyone can help.

We have an Opt 61C, release 2515.

We have someone who works at home, part time Tue - Thu and needs her phone calls forwarded to her home number. On days she is not working calls should go to office voicemail (ours is third party).

I think the thing to do normally would be to use CRTOD and CRDAY with alternate DN's to send calls to the external number on Tue - Thu, and use the regular redirection options to send calls to VM on Mon and Fri.

BUT, this person will sometimes need to come into the office on her working days, in which case she wants to be able to have calls delivered to her desk as usual.

Does anyone know of a way for her to override CRTOD and CRDAY, or of any set-up which would allow us to make this arrangement?

Thanks for any help.

1. This is unanswered and busy calls so everyone will get 4-6 rings on her office phone before forwarding to her home number. This should give her time to answer if she is at her desk. It can't be changed at the user level.
2. On her off days calls will still go to her home number NOT voice mail.
3. To the best of my knowledge, the PBX cannot determine where the call should go other than via manual intervention.

Depending on your set up you can look into 9150 / 9115 's or some other remote office scenario

Call Redirection by Time of Day
Call Forward by Call Type (CFCT) takes precedence over Call Redirection
by Time of Day.
If Call Forward by Call Type (CFCT) is enabled with Call Forward No
Answer (CFNA) and Call Redirection by Time of Day (CRTOD),
unanswered internal calls receiving CFNA are routed to the Flexible CFNA
DN, Hunt DN, Alternate Flexible CFNA DN or Alternate Hunt DNs. External
calls are routed in the same manner.
If CFNA is enabled with Hunting by Call Type and Call Redirection by Time
of Day (CRTOD), unanswered internal calls are redirected to the Hunt DN or
Alternate Hunt DN during the alternative time. External calls are routed in the
same manner. The alternate time is defined on the called DN’s data block.

I would use Call Forward. When you leave, you forward, when you get back, you unforward. If you forget, you use Remote Call Forward.

Thanks both. Those options would each get us some of the way there, but not all. I have done some experimenting with CRTOD and CRDAY but it just falls short of providing the whole package.

With Call Forward, the problem is that this person's default location is at home and she only works for three days a week. So she is not in a position to CFWD from the office and she does not want to leave it enabled as she does not want work calls at home when she is not working. We cannot use Remote Call Forward as we cannot use DISA.

Re CRTOD and CRDAY, am I missing something? When I have both enabled, no matter what I have for CRDAY, the redirection only seems to follow the entries for CRTOD. Seems to be one or the other. I expect I need to do more work on this one!

By the way GHTROUT, no doubt you have heard this before but your online resources are excellent and have been a massive help!

If you were using MerMail or Call Pilot you would be able to run the number in there and set up time of day/date/day of week parameters that would make this happen automatically. Do you have this option in your 3rd party voice mail?

Thanks trvlr1. Pretty sure this is not an option on our voicemail but will make enquiries.
