recieve confirmation of archiving in Nice 8.9

Hello
Is there a way on how to verify that an archiving has finished successfully an there are no errors? Are there any logs that indicate this?
We have Nice version 8.9 with DVD-RAM. I know that you can verify manually this in Backup/Tools/Devices Status Report. But I want , if is it possible, to send a notification or something .

hi,

first point of call would be nice supervision this will alert if dvd drive fails cannot append etc

then you have audit trail its on tools menu in nice supervision it shows historic and any current issues

nice supervision can also be configured for snmp alerts

media library if installed when a label is printed if an X exists on label then an issue occured

on logger you can check logs via start/programs/nicelog server bugfind


NMS is a nice snmp suite but unfortunately 8.9 is sunset so hope above helps
