On my little Acer netbook (IE8 and Win 7) I log in to TT, click on any Forum, get displayed all the treads for a moment, and without even a click, I get 're-routed' back to the home page of TT

Doesn't happen on my other 'regular' HP laptop tho...

Have fun.

Are you perhaps using the 'latest' version of Internet explorer?
It seems to have a mind of it's own so I use old faithful Firefox

PeterWallace:

This is from another thread, similar issue I think... I don't know if it will solve your issue, but it may be worth a shot. This is from super tek-tips contributor linney, who has solved many OS problems for many people:

Quote (linney)

I was able to fix it, in my case, by removing all the shortcuts, and saved URL's, that pointed to Tek-Tips in IE's History, Favorites, etc., and by manually typing URL's as a way of recreating them. I however only saw this on one Windows 7 machine, not on multiple machines.
