outcalling works to the cell phone, however right when you answer the call all you here is press * #. You dont hear that you have new messages and if the user presses * # it turns outcalling off.....

Sounds like you are using analogue trunks which aren't suitable for outcalling, reason being as there are no call progress indications on those trunks as soon as they are seized they are seen as answered and so it begins playing prompts etc at that point smile

It works at other sites on previous releases with analog trunks. At my office for one.

And is you leave it ringing longer at your office do you ever hear less of the initial message or does it always start at the very beginning?

I ask as what you describe as the fault is just the very end of the default message:

Quote:

This is IP Office. (your name) you have new messages. To access your messages, please enter your extension number and press hash. To avoid further notification of these messages, press star hash

And I dont see how it knows to wait on analogue trunks smile

changing the timeout for outcalling had no change, outcalling to land line no change. 9N short code to line group instead of ARS no change........

Steve, the issue is analogue trunks, they do not provide answer supervision and so the message begins as soon as the system has finished dialling to line, if it works in your office you either answer in time to hear the message or you also have other trunks. If you don't believe me watch the call in SSA and you will see it says connected as soon as the call goes out after dialling, this is what triggers the message smile
