i am currently trying to understand if i can convert my analog phone line to a PRI without changing the basic contact number???

If you are talking about your published pilot number then yes it can be ported.

Pilot is main number of hunt group.

I think you need to provide more detail as to what your up to.
Does your company have PRI already?
You want to change just one number to a DID?

The number that gets answered by the CC it can be ported to the PRI but you will need to program Target lines and reassign the new Target line to the CC.Plus any numbers ringing in will need the same.
