Merlin Magix 4.0 incoming caller id problem

Incoming caller id will not appear thru 412tdl id module. The incoming line is VOIP. Is this the problem?
I have also tried 800gs/ls/id. same problem.

Are you using some VoIP gateway I assume? Try hooking up a SLT to the incoming line - a SLT with caller ID display. Some CLECs have very shoddy caller ID. FiOS is one of them. If you don't get caller ID on a caller ID SLT you won't ever get it.

I am getting caller id on the line. It appears on SLT but not thru Magix module.

What are you running, a Legend or Magix and what version? I seem to recall some versions can only take caller ID number and not name and get confused when presented with both. Others here could clarify that.

Uverse is delivering the VOIP dial tone. System is Magix 4.0

Some CLECs have very shoddy caller ID. FiOS is one of them. I have FiOS at home and my Partner ACS has no problems with Caller ID. thumbsup2

Merlinman, I tried it with and without delay. same result.
Dexman, thanks.
I am thinking the Magix cannot process caller id delivered over Uverse VOIP.

Caller ID through loop start lines can give you Name as well as Number.

Through a PRI will give you Number only.

Through a PRI, from some carriers and IAD's, anonymous calls can cause a restart of Merlin Messaging.

And sometimes the loop current provided by an IAD can distort the CID signal, and cause it not to be seen by the Magix.

When all else fails, get real analogue phone lines, that will solve the problem!

I want to thank each of you for your help. I love this forum.
I am taking the equipment to a different site today for testing.
Will keep you posted on the outcome.
