Hi Guys,

Please help me to solve below problems.

System Nortel CS1000S, Rel-4.5.

Some time ( ones in a two days ) MG reboot's unexpectedly and I am getting error between CS and media gateway IP link is down.

And when I am saving configurbeation in ld 43 edd...I am getting following errors;

Starting database synchronization on Media Gateway/Expansion Cabinet 1
Cannot open file c:/p/sl1/direct.tmp on Media Gateway/Expansion Cabinet 1
Database Synchronization on Media Gateway/Expansion Cabinet 1 failed

I have isolated the elan, Changed Media Transceiver,

What you need to do is to log into "pdt" and see if the "C" drive on the expansion SSC card is corrupted. In my experience, I usually treat the problem as a typical CS1000M and will format the daughterboard, before reloading it again with the CS1000S media software, using defauLt IP address's etc.

I find it's the quickest way if you have already changed out the IP Ethernet card. You will need the software and pcmcia card.
