Ok I'm an IT manager and we are working on replacing our current phone system
So far looks like the best fit for our business is a ShoreTel system.
For those who migrated from Nortel, Comdial, ESI and or AASTRA can you let me know what kind of trouble did you run into?
What are the main downsides to the ShoreTel systems and did you have any trouble with their desktop application?

I haven't found a downside yet and I've been in the industry for 30 years.

Same here. I have several medium to large enterprise deployments and it just works. Very smooth process and no BS afterwards. There are a couple of things that old phone guys like me take a little getting used to, but I have no reservations about recommending this system to a customer.
