Where in the world do Tek-Tips members come from?

Build a phantom extension to go to a general voicemail box

Mitel 3300
Call Xpress VM

I wanted to create a DID number that will go straight to a VM box.
I didn't want to build this line one a physical phone.

How would I do this?

Send the DID to a hunt group rerouted to VM
Create a phantom PKM on a phone and add a key appearance.
Create a phantom per node with cards if you have to do a large number of them.

There have been many posts on that subject. Look around a bit.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Don't use a hunt group if you want to have a message lamp

Program a keyline on a phone and route it to vm is simplest. then you can associate a lamp.

Is there a way to do this without building the extension on a real phone?

The way that I will set up the VM portion is through Call Xpress and I can configure that VM box to send an email with the VM attached.

If the message lamp is not required use a hunt group and route the hunt group to VM

Sorry my post might have been confusing. I provided 3 methods. Hunt group, phantom PKM and phantom per node. As kwbMitel says use a hunt group.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Configure a key System in a key wich is not visible on the phone and routing her to VM.
