I'm trying to do an upgrade to a CS 1000 to Rls 7.5 but when I upload Linux it does not recognize the network ports on the CPMGS board.

Any suggestions?

What ports are you using? Should be the 1E and 2T, ports on the bottom, wired to your ethernet switch.

Have you installed the 3 base linux patches yet? Right now all it know is it has linux. It has no idea it will be a Nortel box. I wouldn't be too concerned yet until you get it patched and deployed.

Do you have these 2 ports plugged into an ethernet switch? If you do not it will give you errors similar to this.

the linux patches are intalled and the 2 ports are connected to the switch.

I can honestly say I have never seen what you are describing. Is the machine deployed? Obviously you should be deploying CS,SS,EM at the very least. Is there a database in it? Does anything work? Can you ping the addresses from your laptop?

When I first trying to install Linux, I put in all the information, IP and that is when I get the message the it cannot find the network ports or they are not initiazed.

In this case, I would connect a crosscable between E and T Lan and restart the CPMG again.

If the error still exists, maybe your Hardware can be faulty.
