Router to Router Help(wired problem)

Hello, i'm not sure if this is in the correct section but i'll go ahead and hope someone can help me.

So i have a super hub from Virgin down stairs(call it router 1) but was having trouble with my wireless signal upstairs so i install another router(router2) in my room and just connect it to the router down stairs.

Everything is fine wireless works on it easy no problem, but now i want to connect my playstation to the router2 wired, but when i setup the connection it comes back that it cant get a IP from router2.

Can anyone give me some advice on how its possible to get a wired internet connection from router2 to my playstation/anything else i'll want in the future?

Like i said wireless works no problem with laptop/iphone/phones/ipad anything ive tried, but connecting it to wired just seems to not work.

Router1 - Virgin super hub 192.168.1.1

Router2 - Netgear router 192.168.2.1

not sure what other information you may need if you need anymore please ask.

Are you sure that wireless on router2 is working properly? Maybe you are still connecting to the downstairs router1.

- Login to the webinterface on router2 and see if the WAN information is filled in properly. It should probably be configured with DHCP and show an IP of your 192.168.1.1 network.
- Check the link lights on router2 connecting to the downstairs router. If they arent lit up make sure to use a crossover cable.
- also check the link lights connecting to the playstation

If there is an option on your router2 to use "bridged mode" then choose that. It basically turns it into a switch and leads to a lot less problems with double NATing using the two routers.
