I'm trying to add VM to sets added to a BCM50.
Default password has been changed from nnadmin/PlsChgMe! and I can't access thru telset F983 1020000-don't know password.
I'm new to BCM -have experience w/ CICS. I'm considering level 1 reset to reset passwords. I have a .lic file with the keycodes , But not ever having done this before I concerned with resetting and restoring the keycodes. any advice ?

If you do a level 1 or 2 reset, then you will lose customer data. Have you got a recent backup image?.

I'd get a case raised with Avaya to give you a reset password.

I don't have a recent backup image- never having accessed the unit through BCM web page or element manager.

Would Avaya provide the customer with a reset password ?

Thanks
Can you say how much ?
ballpark ?

If I reset the system and have the keycodes , is it difficult to restore the keycodes ?

Hi there.

I just did a level 1 reset on my BCM 50e here, and I see my keycodes are still in place. As was said earlier, I lost all of my customer data, but I'm reprogramming it, so that isn't a big thing.

The only thing I am aware of is that a level 2 reset mangles the keycodes as well. (And I have got to tell you pushing that little button and trying to press it again in 5 seconds can be kinda unnerving! For me anyway!)

I believe you only lose keycodes with a level 2 reset. I have never lost them doing a level 1.
