I am attempting to upload a new wave file to the embedded music on hold and running into errors regarding the location of the file. I get and ftp error each time I attempt to uploaded from a computer connected to the switch? I am logged in as System admin.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What formats are acceptable, wav files are huge?

The format will need to be 8khz mono ulaw to be accepted.
I use either Audacity or NCH Switch Audio to convert.

A quirk of IE8 or higher requires you to place the file in a folder named fakefile on the c-Drive root directory

Files should not be huge, there is a size limit depending on chassis type. 8Mb comes to mind although some allowed 16Mb at one time.

The Ulaw format is usually quite small.

Try adding the Mitel Webpage to trusted sites in Internet Explorer Settings and install the root certificate.
