I am trying to send all calls to the pri trunks to an aa table that answers at all times immediately or after a few rings. How can this be achieved in programming. The only calls that I need sent to private sets can be changed in programming.

Just program the CP to answer lines 001-023 or 031-053 depending on which slot the digital trunk card is in.

Thanks Brian, on the other hand I am thinking this may be a problem because of a cp100 (4channels).

Basically I have 3 separate businesses using 4 analog trunks each...now converting to a pri 12 channel.

From what I understand I would program the calls going to each business DID through logical lines 145+.

Would I just leave the lines 001-023 alone and not assign them to anything if all my calls are coming through DID's?

Yes.  Just program the AA to answer the target lines 145 and up as needed.  For private DID's set the AA to no answer and forward/no answer the target line owner to the CallPilot DN.

Note that on later release software the target lines start at 157.

The listed billing number needs to be assigned to a target line and that target line needs to be assigned to the AA...the lines for the PRI don't matter

Are you sure it is a PRI or T1?? If you have a fractional PRI, you don't have all channels available to you. You are only using 12 out of the 23. So you say. As far as your 3 businesses, if they had 4 lines programmed to appear and ring you are going to have to assign target lines to each one. If the digits are still the same, each business ext. will need 4 target lines assigned to duplicate your previous setup.
As for the aa you need only to assign your target line 145 or 157 ( depending on software )with the last 4 digits of the billing number to be answered. As Crow says lines for the PRI don't matter.
Do these businesses also have aa after hours????

It's a broadband cable pri and were upgrading to a full pri 23 channel. So basically I'll just assign multiple appearances for the target line?

Currently have pots going to a full 23 channel.

We don't assign lines to AA as it appears they are saying (therefore multiple appearances not required either), instead we tell AA to answer desired lines.

If company A is Target line 157 then go into Voice Mail AA/Lines and have Line 157 answered and select your desired ring count.
Do same for each business...i.e. company B might be 158 and c 158 and so on.

Company A
Line 001 - Main
Line 002 - hunt
Line 003 - hunt

Company B
Line 004 - Main
Line 031 - hunt
Line 032 - hunt

Company A
Line 157 - Main & Assign Multiple Line Appearances

Company B
Line 158 - Main & Assign Multiple Line Appearances

Does that look about right??
maxse (TechnicalUser)

that would be before and after respectively

Assign Multiple Appearances to what?
I thought you wanted AA to answer?

Yes that is correct. I am trying to convert analog trunks to PRI and wanted to make sure that would be correct
Crowtalks (TechnicalUser)

Yeah, the multiple appearances are necessary for the attendant (or whoever is prime for the target line) to receive more than one call

But he wants AA to answer....sounds like we are confusing him to assign lines and multiple appearances when we don't need to do in this case?.

No, I understand that I will need to assign the target line to the AA just like I would assign the analog trunk (line) to the AA currently. My main concern is programming multiple line appearances now that I have realized how to program the AA.

That's what I am saying, you do not assign lines to AA or voice mail.....leave that for sets only!!!!!.

Multiple appearances only needed for a set and not vmail.

If AA is to answer:
Go into AA and tell the line if it is to be answered yes or no.

If a set is to answer:
Go to Lines and assign a Target Line to a set, once you make it A&R or Ring Only keep pressing SHOW when you do and assign 2 or 3 appearances.
Do same for other targets/companies.

You're right curlycord, I didn't read where he was wanting AA to answer and therefore my answer would have muddied the waters.
