Does anyone have info on programming a straight t1 for a merlin legend system? I haven't done this for many years and now have a client that is adding one to their system.

System will be a legend r7 cke5(magix style in legend clamshell), I am adding a 100dcd t1 board(magix style in legend clamshell). Any info on programming the internal csu/dsu would also be helpful but I may be able to figure that out.

I'm going to try and program surrogate, I have the same processor as the one currently being used. I noticed the second carrier has an open slot and a card after that open slot. Do I need to move this and do a board renumber, then add the 100dcd board or can I just add after the card. My current backup is with the open slot.

These old Merlin systems are the most reliable system I have ever worked on. They just keep going! Would be nice if Avaya brought them back again!

Thanks for any help!

One more thing I thought I would mention, I will have a few blocks of DID's on this T-1

Help with setting up the ARS tables would be appreciated. All phones are 3 digit ext numbers.

Never move boards around, just add the new board to the first open slot, and then do a board renumber so that it will be recognized. When you are programming in surrogate mode, use the boards command to add the card so that you can program it.

Program the lines as E&M TIE lines. Put them in their own pool, and you can set outbound ARS to use them.

You can't manipulate incoming digits, so the extensions must match the digits received, or it will end up at the operator with a question mark.
