Issue with short codes and mobile call control

With mobile call control turned ON the system does not like for you to use ** or ## in short codes. But that causes a problem when you program the system for delayed AA answer. If you create a user and try to unconditionally forward it to, for example, *#600 for the AA, the IPO gives you an error. You must change it to **600 but you have to turn mobile call control off. Any thoughts?

You can ignore the error for *# or #* codes.

Mobile call control does work still with ** shortcodes despite that warning, but there are still gaps in default shortcodes you can use for forwarding etc smile

But the error does not allow me to change it to *#600. I created a virtual user called ToAA so the AA will answer on a delayed basis. When I go to the virtual user and try to unconditionally forward to *#600 it will not allow it to change. It will accept ** but not a #.

Test for yourself, it's quick enough. I didn't have any issues but you may have some shortcodes that cause issues if you use lots of ** codes smile
