Where in the world do Tek-Tips members come from?

We have a group with 14,000 members and want to send out a mailshot. We have found in the past that it works better for us to keep such mailshots to a maximum of 1,000 at a time. What would be the best way of doing this?

We could clone the group and remove the last 13,000 members, then clone it again and remove the last 12,000 members, and so on but that seems very cumbersome.

Any ideas?

There are add on applications that will permit you to do metered e-mail blasting.  IntelliSend comes to mind as one option.
