Connected trunk line shows up as disconnected

Hi Guys,

I got a problem with one of my trunk lines. It shows up as disconnected but is actually connected.

                             TRUNK GROUP STATUS

Member   Port     Service State      Mtce Connected Ports
                                     Busy

0006/001 01B2008  disconnected       no
0006/002 01B2006  in-service/idle    no
0006/003 01B2007  in-service/idle    no
0006/004 01B2003  in-service/idle    no

When I go and call the trunk line number it works:

status station 1997                                             Page   3 of   4
SRC PORT TO DEST PORT TALKPATH
src port: 02D1302
02D1302:TX:tdm:a143
02A0101:RX:tdm:a143   TX:fiber:172
01A0101:RX:fiber:196   TX:tdm:a163
01B2008:RX:tdm:a163

dst port: 01B2008

As you see the trunk line the call comes is on 01B2008, but this port shows up as disconnected above. Do you know why?

Thanks for your help again!

What type of trunk is this? I am assuming it is a copper/CO trunk. Check the TIp/Ring if it is. Option would be to swap members 1 and 2 for each other and see if it floows the vendor or stays with the card/PBX.

**The question may not be the technology, but the competency of the support people.**
