Incoming call problem IP 500 V2Helpful Member!(2)

Hello, so this is my first time with the IPO 500, and it's been a bit of a head ache setting up.  The most recent problem has been when lines one and two are tied up, if a new incoming call presents itself it will not ring through to the phones, but instead the IP 500 control unit starts ringing.

The system is setup as a Key System, with 4 incoming POTS, and 5 1408 Digital Sets all assigned with the four lines.  I've been racking my brain over this for days so any help would be appreciated.

I am sorry but this is the biggest nonsense i have heard in years smile
The IP500 itself can not ring at all.
It has no ringer so there must be a phone ringing somewhere.
I suggest that you hire a certified engineer to set this system up for you.

If you don;t then you will not like the IPO while it is a good system.
But you need to know how to program it.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

"the IP 500 control unit starts ringing."  sorry that is imposibble.

Secondly I am wondering why I read about new systems being setup as key system?  Luckily I do not come accross this in the field, except for old Merlin & Partner systems that I de-install!
