Hello All,
Greetings to you all!!!

Since sometime we are unable to take back up of our call pilot 201i 4.0.4 server via SLR5 tandberg tape nor via network.

So far i have installed the below peps and tried rebooting the server couple of times but still doesn't help:

CP404_UpgradeWizard_v08.exe
CP404S04G54S
CPSECPEP008S.msi
CP404S04G22C
CP404ACC002S.msi
CP40404SU04S

Also, during the installation of the peps it said "database is not working"

Below is the log file which is generated after the back-up operation is failed.

when you installed the peps, did it say to run config wizard as part of it (after the reboot)?

try to delete OLD stale mailboxes as well, but if the database is corrupt, you might need a Service Partner person to run the database tools

Hi Triton101,

Thanks for replying back.

Based on your suggestion have done config wizard to run after reboot. Still no luck.

Also, i will try to delete the OLD stale mailboxes.

Just out of curiosity would like to know from you as to what needs to be checked on the DATABASE TOOLS.

I have the distributor login details, so probably i can check it myself.

I'm not familiar of what database commands are available in the callpilot tools, sorry (other than resetting the 00000 account).

Try doing APPs backup and Selective (ALL users) see if those complete (or you might have already)

I normally do a Ghost image of the HDD also, when making major changes, but if the problem is with the HDD or sectors on the hard drive, then GHOST (provided by nortel) would fail also.

maybe someone else might have a viable suggestion for you

Guys,

We can i guess close this thread as we had to re-install the CP Server afresh and then restored the user archives.

Thanks to all who were supportive in whatever way they tried to be.

Best Regards,

Hari.
