I am looking for help with  Financial reporter. I am trying to get the total debit/credit transactions for a specific account. Please note: i am looking only for either debit totals or credit totals.

Hi Ettienne, thank you for the reply,

FRCredit gives the account balance for a credit account type, what i was actually looking for is the sum of credit transactions (only) irrespective of the account type. Example:

Assume the following transactions within the Accumulated depreciation account:
                                                DR            CR
Depreciation Land and Buildings              10,000               
    Acc Depreciation Land and Buildings                    10,000
Acc Depreciation Land and Buildings          50,000   
    Disposal of Land and BUildings                         50,000

So Acc Depr now has a debit and credit entries. How do i get the credit entries only and not the net.

FRTRNDR and FRTRNCR

Hi Ettienne,

I tried your solution, the FRTRNCR is giving me the net credit change for the year. However, the FRTRNDR is failing to pick up the net debit changes(transactions) for the year and giving me blanck. The FR user guide specifies that when using the FRTRNDR/CR/A, one must set criteria to only get CR/DR transactions. May be thats where my problem is. I have tried looking in "Set Criteria", however, the only relevant field i found was "Normal Balance (DR/CR" - it is not working.

Would you have any ideas?

Hi Ettiene, just noticed one thing about the FRTRNDR, when i set it to "NETY" it gives me a blank. However, i tried using NET#P and when i specify the period when the transactions took place i get the value. However, it still brings an issue as i am looking for the net debit transactions for the whole year.
