Setting up DID access to a Route Pattern?

I am setting up a 3rd party application telephony server which connects back to CUCM via SIP Trunk.  I have everything working as noted in the configuration documents.  Everything works like it should.  Calling a 4 digit number and it is a route pattern that points out to the telephony server.  I now want to be able to call that from the outside.  I figured I would create a CTI Route Point, but I can not get it to work.  Using hypothetical numbers I set up 5000 & 5001 to go to the new telephony server.  One is a User Interface and one is a Admin Interface.  5000 & 5001 are set up as Route Patterns that send calls to the telephony server via a SIP Trunk.  How can I set it up so that if I call NPA-NXX-5000 I get to the application?  I have tried setting up DN, CTI RP, Translation Pattern and Hunt Pilot.  None seemed to work.  It would render the 5000 busy once applied.  I must be doing something wrong........
