Hi,

Following a system crash, we purchased a new BCM 400 (V4) which was the same as the system that died on us.

I have just re-confirguered the Voicemail but I've noticed that now, when we press Feature 981 and access the mailbox, the Menus/Options and display on the LCD is different to how it use to be.

I've done a bit of hunting and it appears to be that on the old box, it was using a "Norstar Voice Mail Interface" and on this setup it's using a "CallPilot Interface" although the web admin side looks identical!

How can I get our system to use the "Norstar Voice Mail Interface" as before, the menu/options are so much easier to use and navigate!

Many thanks,

Matt

I "think" I've been able to answer my own question!

I've changed the default UI Style under Configuration - System Properties - Primary UI Style from CallPilot to NVM

And again under the "Class of Service" option on the Mailbox admin.

Is this correct?

Thanks

I never really did figure out why Nortel attempted to go to CP interface (that is the one they would train on at GK) unless it was a more friendly interface for the CP Mini config for the CS switch...

It was designed for users that come from a main office on Callpilot PBX version that moved/migrated to a branch office where the admin simply assigns them CP mode so they feel at home.
