IPO 500 v2 software level 7.

I have 3 hunt groups ringing 3 phones
Hunt groups 104,105,106 all collective and set up the same way.
if i dial the HG extn number 104 it only displays on the 9504 phones but not on the 1408.( i only have 1 x 1408)
The 1408 phone displays the extn number you are calling from followed buy a timer  00:00:01.

The odd thing is if i dial the hg 106 it displays the name of the Hunt group on the 1408 phone..

what would be missing from HG104,105 that wont display the HG name  on 1408 phone but it does display on other phones on

I have double checked the settings on these hunt groups and they are all the same.

I am only testing at this stage and i dont have any lines connected yet so i am using the hg extn number to test.

Any ideas.

 

It sounds like a long name for that one group.
Is the name longer then the other two groups?

sales2 for 105
Training for 106

if you are convinced that all the groups are set up identically
and you have tagged them with a name, then try a reboot , but tlpeter was asking about length ... i guess because there is a source number LONGER_NAMES , you could try this under the the 1408 user.

But that said those names dont look anywhere near long enough to warrent this action.

have you got a spare 1408 to try to see if its the phone?

if not could be bug try renaming and take the number out of HG 104,105, if testing reboot after each change.

I Have rebooted a few times.
No Difference.

I will try another 1408 when i get a hold off one.

have you tried removing and recreating the hg?

I thought about length because there have been bugs with names longer then 12 characters in the past.
You could delete the group and copy a working group and rename and number it.

I think the timer can be taken out.

I hate those  phones.  Displays are terrible, but people keep buying them.  Had very few customer who will stump the extra for the 95x1s, which is a real shame.

yes i had a longer name in  sales team1 but changed it to sales1, sales2.

But i did delete it before.
 I will erase it again and try later

The 9500 are not that much better in quality at the moment.
We have had a couple of broken handsets and we also had a couple of phone who keep rebooting when they try to upgrade.

And they freeze and I hate the stand (what's wrong with the 14xx/96xx style)  apart from that they're great

OK Problem Solved.

It was to do with the Name.
I had done this before but it didnt make any difference(I think)

I made a new hunt group with a different name and it displayed correctly.

The problem seems to be in the NAME,

I changed Sales1 to Sales 1 and it appeared on the display off the 1408 correctly.

I Noticed the other hunt groups that didn't have a number in the name worked ok.

Strange it only affected the 1408 phone only and not the other phones??????Weired.
