I have gone totally brain dead. Can someone remind me how to reset MC32S back to gold image. I have one with who knows what password and IP on it and need to use it for another system. Any help would be great.

I think you connect up a serial cable and enter "jkl" when it tells to to get into BIOS. I think that you can change ip settings and also reset the passcode.

-> lnIsa_writeSubnetMask "<ELAN subnet mask>"
-> lnIsa_writeIP "<ELAN IP Address>"
-> lnIsa_writeGW "<ELAN Gateway IP Address>"

In the event the NVRAM becomes corrupted or some other problem prevents logging into the IPL shell, you can reset the password. Break into the BIOS as the card boots up (enter jkl when prompted).

Then enter the command shellPasswordNvramClear. This resets the password to the factory default. You can then log in and change the password.
The SS does not store the passwords in the NVRAM, so this is not applicable to it.

shellPasswordNvramClear
Resets the userid and password to the factory default.

All the best
