3645 handsets using resources out of wrong network region

comm mgr 5.1.2.  problem is with the 3645 wireless ip phones not using a medpro board in their own region.  the register to a clan in region 1, but when they go in use they grab a medpro out of region 6, everytime.  i have wired ip phones that use the same ip address range and they get a clan and medpro out of region 1, which is correct.

question is, what would cause the wireless phones to not use a medpro in their own region?

thanks, tim

ARS wont have anything to do with it.  it grabs the medpro as soon as it goes off hook.

yes, they register to a clan in network region 1.  there are also plenty of medpro resources in region 1.

thanks, tim

Typically wireless IP phones are deployed with an AVPP.  Perhaps the AVPP's IP address is causing region 6 to be used.

can you run a trace to tie it down ?

we are not using an AVPP.  out wireless network does WMM so we are using that instead.

strange its obviously going out on r1 then routing to r6 , what happens if you busy out the clan and or medpro that uses region 6 can you make a call and post the trace?

there are two medpro boards in region 6.  if i busy both of them out, no ip phones in that region will be able to make calls...
