Need to know how to enable ip office to allow a call to be
transfered to another number like a cell phone for example.
This is for receptionist use. Tried to use the transfer button,
make 2nd call and press transfer again. But that does not work.
Thanks

If you have analogue lines I would start by checking That Allow Analogue Trunk to Trunk Connect is checked off under Line settings.

Jeff

if analogue trunks turn on alllow trunk to trunk transfer on the line , if you are above R5 and using 14**/16** sets pue Enable_OTT in the users soure code , but if you have two call appearance keys on her handset and follow these instructions , plus if using all she needs to do is have first caller press transfer then dial number and screeen or unscreen and hang up ....simples

I am above 5.0 at 7.0 on the ip office.
How do I enable ott? what is it? thanks

go to the help file under a user soure NUMBERS it has to be entered Enable_OTT and means that when pushing a softkey it will transfer the call negating the need for someone to press transfer then a soft"user" key, it also enable other useful one touch options , if you are on anaologue trunks and are using auto attendant put this in the same place VM_TRUNCATE_TIME=X X= the country you are in the uk is 7.

hope that helps

I tried the _OTT by entering it in the source code for the set and used
a dial button to the number I wanted to transfer to.I had no luck in making it work. Im using a 1408 digital set. I will post solution
when I find it.

So you have Allow trunk to trunk transfer under each line like Jeff stated and it still won't allow the transfer?

Thanks montyzummer. I enterd it as you said. I am using analog trunks.
Auto attendant is on at night but not in the day. Do I have to
enter the other string to? Im in the US I dont know what number that is.

Looked for the trunk to trunk in line setings and its not there
I think it is not in my 7.0 version

It definitely is available and needs to be checked in order for this to work. Open Manager, and click on line 1. Go to the Analogue Options tab of line 1. Go to the bottom of that page on the left side (I think it is the third option from the bottom) and you will see "Allow analog trunk to trunk connect". By default this option is NOT checked. You need to check it for each of your lines in order to allow them to transfer off-site.

Telecomboy you are correct! I did not see the "allow analog
trunk to connect" the first time. I failed to scroll down further, it was the 2nd to last setting on the page. My first posting on tech tips on the first day of membership. You guys are awsome! I will try to
return the favor with somebody elses telecom issue.

good man glad youre sorted , always look twice and programme once ???

P.S.
With first call on the line:
I pushed a speed dial button to a cell phone number.
9-xxx-xxx-xxxx(this put the first call on hold) Pressed transfer and was connected.
Thanks
