MICS 7.0, fax machine connected to ATA (Ext 250).  Fax line is line 8 (034).

During the day mode everything works fine.  When system switches to night mode (as per schedule)the AA begins to answer all lines immediately (including the fax line too) which is no good.

Checked AA settings in Call Pilot, L8 is set to NO ANSWER.  Also tried answer on 9 rings (hoping the fax machine would pick up in fewer number if rings)
Also tried making L8 private to 250, no fix.

Anyone know how to have the AA answer all lines in night mode EXCEPT Line 8?

It sounds like you have Line 8 as part of the Night Service Ring Group.

If the line is in the ring service group which has the voice mail as a ringing set, them the line will be answered, regardless of the setting ring/no ring setting in the voice mail.

A few things to check besides what has already been mentioned. Make sure the prime set for the fax line is the fax dn, also make sure in your ringing service programming that the control dn for that line is the fax and not the recept. ext or whatever ext the night button is programmed to.
