Have a Hotel that had a bad PRI card. When we installed the new PRI card, we could call in but not out (fast busy). Form 22 modified digits had the ARS routes programmed to delete 1 and insert 00. I changed this to delete 1 and insert nothing. Outgoing calls work now. However the call accounting is not working (we did not check if it was working before the change).
My question is what effect does modified digit have on the PRI programming in IMAT?  Would this be the cause for the call Accounting not to work?

if form 22 did not have the digits *400*4 then the 00 was previously generated in SMDR and the call accounting was probably configured to ignore them.

Now that they don't appear the call acounting could be confused.

I suspect that you are talking abount the old style PRI cards that were installed in peripheral nodes or main control nodes in slots 10 or 11. This being the case, you will need to use IMAT to configure the PRI card properly for call by call digits if you want to restore everything to the way it was.

Thanks kwbMitel,

I guess the question is, what exactly do I need to program in IMAT, keep in mind I was not able to save any changes earlier. When I tried to disable NFAS and min/Max and save, I recieved an error message" something went wrong when trying to transfer file". This happened several times. So do you think the SMDR is not working because I do not have anything in form 22?

It is a Mitel 200 EL. PRI card is in SLot 11 of the main cabinet. If I programm 00 in form 22, Outbound calls do not work.
If I program *400*4* Outbound calls do not work .
If I leave digits to insert blank, Outbound works.

The *4 XX *4 is only different in that the digits between the *4's are not collected for SMDR.

What needs to change is the Call by Call section of the outgoing call setup.

2 of the 3 sections need to be set to gather digits to select call by call

Bearer Capabilities
Network Facilities
Caller ID

failing that, you'll have to figure out how to modify the call accounting system.

Thanks again!

Last question. I Have never expierenced an error when saving a database from IMAT.
Have you ever seen this error ""something went wrong when trying to transfer file""

What are your thoughts?

Make sure you aren't trying to update the software version of the PRI card to a NSU SW version. If it's trying to do that when you save the database it will fail every time and it can FUBAR your PRI card

try to upload the DB from the pricard and send it back in unmodified.

If that works, try a simple modification

Your DB might not match the one on the card, this method will work always (as far as I know)

ignore any prompts to upgrade the DB if they appear.
